well our friends at easyjet have made it nice and easy to get to the nearest city Ljubljana:
London Stansted - Ljubljana
flights start on 28 April 2004, with one-way fares from just £17.99 (including taxes and charges)
looking at about £60 return for the flights at the moment, not bad at all.
whoop whoop...
or else some ryanair action to trieste in italy or klagenfurt in austria and make yer way down towards Ljubljana... more expensive tho obv.
as to getting to events, sure we can hitch no bother i'd expect. might give the organisers of the 2 events a wee mail and get some local knowledge too...
i'm well up for this now!

definitely interested but will have to check on finances closer to the time. my current travel budget has been severely depleted... ed's idea of overlanding it from somewhere different is good, me asian and jock did a classic overlander from Praha to the hungarian 6 days a couple of years back, although instead of surviving on turnips we survived on snus and shandies.

I'd like to do it, but I think the WOC selection races are going to be the same weekend as Cerkno Cup...
Already got flights booked out there in May though for the Slovenian national classic and relay champs... £75 return Newcastle-Ljubljana. Amazing. Even if it does mean spending about 5 hours each way sat at Stansted,
