I'm not sure of the exact place, but day 1 is near to Ballingeary village, which is about 60-65km west of Cork city. Sunday and Monday are based on Bere Island, which is approx. a further 50km south-west of day 1.
You could try to get buses (http://www.buseireann.ie), but at a glance they don't seem too frequent at weekends. Maybe you could travel on the Friday, and stay in Ballingeary for the 1st day, and travel to Castletownbere (on the mainland) for the other days?Like Paddy mentioned, your best bet would be to post on the IOA yahoo group.
To tell you the truth I'm still not sure how i'm getting down myself ...
