I'm thinking about going to Sweden for the GB WOC team selection races (7th-9th August) - strictly for experience of course! (I have no delusions) But was thinking about staying out in Sweden afterwards before heading out to Denmark for the under-21 junior tour.
So I was just wondering if other people had plans for training in Scandinavia that week?

Not to be overly arsey, but they don't want any more part time help. If you're a qualified coach however, you might be quite welcome. Or even a coach trying to get qualified.
Will? We've got proper fire now!

No I'm not qualified - and I don't think I'll be able to get qualified in time for the summer although I'm definitely planning on it some time soon. (Coaching year 5s to do white clourses is the most advanced I've got so far...) So yeah, might just be a bit cheeky to ask to just come along and "coach" for the week!

again, don't mean to be "arsey" as becks put it but have you entered the woc selection races? you need to email hilary bloor and they said that BOF reserve the right to restrict numbers, ie if lots and lots of people enter they might go back to the old invitation only system for the selection races.
btw i don't necessarily think it should be invitation only and think people should definitely go for experience if they have future team aspirations, as i'm sure do the selectors. just not sure about people just going for a few races in swedish terrain minus the usual entry fees. i'm not meaning you, Q, in fact i don't know who you are, but i know some people were thinking of going just for a laugh and a cheap trip and i don't think the selection races should be like that.

ok i thought q was someone else. sorry Q, you should definitely go to the selection races and if you want to stay in stockholm for a couple of days training before or after you are welcome to stay at mine, i can't really invite you for longer, like a week or anything, cos it's not my house.

Sorry didn't mean to be mysterious! It's Alison (O'Neil). - Q's my "real" name - I'm only called Alison by orienteering people! I didn't realise that I didn't have to pay for the selection races so there was no financial motive... Don't worry - I haven't taken any offence! A couple of days in Stockholm would be fun...
