Oxford City Race
Does anyone have information on the Oxford City Race due to happen in October as yet? Busy month for city races Just entered Chester and then discovered the train won't arrive until after the event so if anyone has car space going from West Yorkshire, I'd be grateful!

Re: Oxford City Race
I am assured it is definitely happening on 31 October (the day before the November Classic) and currently being planned.

Re: Oxford City Race
and dont forget to combine it with the November Classic on Sunday at Bentley & Fritham in the New Forest:

in very close proximity to one of the best pubs in the New Forest (and virtually unchanged for 300 years) - The Royal Oak at Fritham.

When do they close? Do I get a chance to see if I survive WMOC intact (ends 17th Oct) before entering? The web site http://users.ox.ac.uk/~ouoc/cityrace/ doesn't have any information yet and although I'm sure Fabian4 knows I can't find out from there either.

Anyone know what the start window will be? Can't get an e-mail reply from the organiser.

Re: Oxford City Race
I'll see if I can find out. I suspect we will end up more or less following the 2007 times, which were 11:30 - 13:30, but I don't know.
The emails probably aren't getting through to the organiser due to a forwarding error. I'm trying to get this sorted one way or another as well.

Re: Oxford City Race
Pretty sure that 2007 starts were from 10.30 as I managed to get back home (to Peterborough) for the football in the afternoon. I'm planning to do the same this year (but not if the first start is 11.30 )

Re: Oxford City Race
2007 starts were definitely 11.30-13.30. mikey, according to my copy of the 2007 startlist you were at 11.31...

Excellent - let's hope the organisers oblige again (and the A43 is clear)

Re: Oxford City Race
I've been trying to get some information for some members of my running clubs who are tempted to give this a try, but I think the email problems alluded to earlier might have stopped my message getting through. So maybe someone from OUOC is monitoring this thread and would be able to help, please. What I'd like to know is:
a) Are the beginners' courses actually the White/Yellow/Orange/Red ones listed (which is what I would expect). If so, then surely the entry fees are known (although the web site says they aren't), since people are pre-entering them!
b) Will EOD costs for these courses be higher, and will EOD definitely be available or might they fill up?
In fact, I'm not even sure whether the fees for these courses are the same as for the main ones. You don't seem to be able to see this information on Fabian4 without getting well into the entry process - one of the few things about that entry system that could be improved.
