Spotted this on BBC website today:

Could this be a suitable source of height data to provide contour information independent of OS? From my reading of the available information, data points are 30m apart x and y, equivalent to 3mm on a 1:10,000 map.
Have registered on the site and tried downloading, but the noted current high demand has meant that I've not managed it yet. I'm assuming that we might be able to claim a legitimate use for Health reasons.
