Moravian OC, entirely through the sterling efforts of Mike Rodgers look to be having real success with building the club though regular local events - (at least once a month).
With close links with Active Schools, this has been aimed mostly at juniors. However, which is potentially much better for our future we are finding that adults are being attracted.
Last Saturday in Roseisle was the best example yet and Mike seems to have fallen upon a format which really works because planning is minimum effort yet the courses really do provide something for almost everyone.
2 courses - a yellow and what is effectively a sprint course at orange standard - many legs - plenty of straight or round choice with every control being TD3 standard. It's good training for the very best whilst some of our new young juniors can also manage it, indeed beating many good experienced members.
The format really works - I recommend it even though personally I prefer the long tough Craig a' Barns SOL style.
