Knaresborough Street Race
Now almost a traditional fixture for the midsummer weekend, I had my first experience of Claro's street race round Knaresborough on Sunday. Looking at the start lists, it may have been mildly affected by the coincidence with the Stockport race, but still attracted one of its highest entries yet, with just over 80 competitors, which probably says something about the growing interest in street racing. Super course, great venue, with the start and finish in the castle, this was definitely my idea of fun in the summer (no nettles!). Thank you to Claro for a really enjoyable race, one that deserves a wider audience, especially when the map gets upgraded to full ISSOM.

Re: Knaresborough Street Race
Seconded - well planned and organised, and all of the fun with none of the bramble scratches.
It did illustrate the value of the sprint mapping standards though - yesterday's map existed before ISSOM but expectations have grown in terms of clarity and mapping of crossability.
A sprint (13 minute winning time) course around the town centre on an ISSOM map would be worth waiting for..... as would Ripon, Richmond, Saltburn, Whitby, Barnard Castle etc etc. This format has so many possibilities.
Thanks again CLARO.

It's great to see Claro getting the recognition it deserves.
