Does anyone know where / when start times / final details will be going online for the two events on Saturday?
Would be nice to know when we're starting before heading to the event(s)!

Re: WOC selection races
Does anyone know how the seedings have been done as they don't appear to marry too closely to the UK Cup standings (with the obvious exception of the elite foreign based runners coming in at the top end)

Re: WOC selection races - parking
Having now found the link to final details on BO site, I have been doing a bit of digging and thought I'd share my findings, as they are not immediately obvious from the parking link given.
The 4-hour Quarry carpark (closest to event) only has 15 spaces !! (or maybe 18, depending on which page you view) - so pretty useless for us.
With the range of start times we have and allowing for walk in and walk out the 2-hour max duration carparks won't work for us.
The Raven Meadows multi-storey appears to be in the embargoed area, so presumably no-go.
I haven't been able to work out where the others are - no location map on Shrewsbury town website so had to google Raven Meadows and find a map on the website of a company offering car valeting there !
Shrewsbury town website says most on-street parking is 1-hour max, so no use to us.
That leaves 3 x park & ride - and from what I can make out from the maps the bus journey in from 2 of these takes you through the embargoed area.
Does that mean we can't use them ?
The one that I think is OK (but don't quote me on it) is Oxon to the north-west; the least convenient to drive to for the majority of attendees.
The coach station is also within the embargoed area.
The train station is just outside, so if you are careful how you walk from there I think that should be OK (but don't quote me on it). However, there's no train to the Middle event in the afternoon.

You should only use the Frankwell car park just North of the river near where it says Offices in bold type not any of the other options mentioned. There should be ample spaces there early in the morning. If you download the 'warm up' map all will be obvious.

It should be on the Wrekin web site but I'm not sure it's been put up yet - I'll see what I can do.

Yes - various things to take into account including foreign based runners as you say, but essentially the start lists are based around putting the runners into different blocks based on UK Cup position then drawing to allocate start times within those blocks. Reverse order of start blocks for the middle and long (highest ranked block last), blocks mixed up a bit more for the sprint.
Why did I do that...

Dan,
In the middle is seems to be:
One minute gap between punters
Two minute gap between semi-punters
Three minute gap between elite
Four minute gap between me and you.

In the short the elites have the prime start time is early-ish (i.e. maximum recovery time but after some punters who can report any locked gates/missing control).
Interestingly, the "overpriced, elite-only" sprint race seems to have as many entries as the all-age group middle, with the open class double the size of anything on offer at the National Event.

because Sprint races on areas like this one are great fun, have a great atmosphere, lots of spectator potential... etc etc
Should be good

Yes, that 's the car park and the walk to the start and finish/ assembly. None of the map is used in the competition but most of it appears on the actual map.

I like this new category of "semi-punters". Gives me something to aspire to.
