Joining BOF Online...

Ah well, it's been a while, how are you all doing?

What with it being CompassSport Trophy on sunday I thought I better actually get round to re-joining BOF, not that this is my first orienteering of the year, but I didnt need to join BOF to enjoy the sand dunes of Guardamar last month

Anyway, since the new website, at a cursory glance, seemed to have a join online option, I thought I would make the most of it.
Faffed about choosing my club (disappointed to see that TNS was not an option - too exclusive? not paids their subs?), choosing a login etc etc and then tried to pay for it.
But it seems that the payment gateway they are using does not accept Maestro! Seems pretty odd to me, never known it not to be accepted before, especiall when the website will accept Mastercard and Solo.

So I guess I'll have to resot to good old post, and convince sundays organisers that I have actually joined. But along this exciting journey up a cul-de-sac of the BO website i never got the impression that my request to join this year would be tiedin with the fact i have been a member with an existing bof number... so you can join online as long as you are not an existing member, and you have the correct plastic? Useful.

You can renew an existing membership if you login to the website, for which you'll need your username (=BOF number) and password (which was sent out in the mail late last year, but which can be obtained from the office if you've mislaid the letter...)

Nope - didn't work. First time I tried the payment bit didn't work and then, after the year end, wouldn't let me login as it said my membership had lapsed!

I thought I should join BOF as well... email to BOF to get login details... then no worries:) Then tried to subscribe to compass sport but got kicked out on a couple of occassions

took Maestro when I renewed, well it must of since that's all I have
maybe I selected Solo and it worked
