Living and O-ing in Oslo

My employer has finally approved my six month assignment to Oslo. I'm due to head out next week with the wife and kiddie following along later. In no particular order I need to find a) somewhere to live and b) an orienteering club. Anyone have any recommendations for places/clubs or indeed anywhere to avoid?
