Its always a struggle for the officials, getting possibly the best part of 300 folk on the computer in time for the Mass Start, particularly when everyone normally arrives about the same time, and when a fair number are not regular and need to hire their SI cards etc.

That way, hopefully you only have to queue twice, once to pay when you arrive, and once to download when you finish.

......and it was a very long queue at download I'm afraid. The wireless network died on us just as download began, leaving us to do download on one laptop with which the splits printer didn't talk and no time (this being a mass start event and therefore a mass finish too) to try to repair the network. Then later on we got the famous MS 'Blue screen of death' appear on the laptop.

Next year I shall think about using a wired network and Linux!

Great event as usual! I only found the fairy (between 136 and 132), and I believe Father Christmas was roaming around near 143 (but I never saw him). Can someone tell me where the Christmas Tree was?

The tree was at the road/path junction between 136 and 148. Only about 25 people found it! (As opposed to 110 who found the fairy and 150 who found Father Christmas.)
