hmm, you seem to be suggesting a flagrant abuse of the digimap terms of service there Nails (which unless they've changed recently expressly forbid the use of the service for producing maps for recreational purposes).
on the other hand, since you're covered by BOF's OS licence then presumably they couldn't do you for copyright... I've never quite managed to get my head round this one, but presumably the OS still wants you to pay for the delivery of your OS base-map, rather than getting it free from digimap.

ahh, so BOF have a copyright agreement with the OS for absolutely no reason at all, and all O maps based on the OS have a 'based on the ordnance survey blah blah blah' notice on them just to fill up a bit of space then?
Since making an O map from an OS base is effectively just tracing over the base map and then deleting the original, presumably someone's been telling porkies. Personally, since the OS seem to have decent lawyers (as the AA found out to their cost, literally), I'd be inclined to believe them...

oh yes what i meant was...this would be an effective way to produce a base map, not that i've done it before/intend to do it in the future/or suggest that anyone tries it themselves.

not sure about due - it was either due last September or the coming September, depending on whether you count the extra year or not. It's just trying to have my conclusions finished before I see my supervisor tomorrow, having started on them yesterday... ho hum, only about 500 more words to go I think - if my brain and/or fingertips don't fry first.
oh, and the word count doesn't count all the ones on messageboards, they'd probably bring it up to 10000 or something...

it's just the stress of writing 7000 words in the last 30 hours that's making my writing style a little, erm, direct, or possibly sarcastic...
Ed, how many of those 7000 words have been on the NopeSport forum?!? Ah! Displacement activities ... Don't get confused now and start putting Emoticons next to the salient arguements you want to highlight in those conclusions.

Yes, I managed to tape the WOC Sprint highlights from Swiss TV last August and have converted it to MPEG1 format (82M). If there's any demand for it I could make it available for download from the WCup 2005 site.
The file is now available for download from http://www.wcup2005.org.uk/page.aspx?id=11560 and I'll leave it there for a while. I'm not sure if it's password protected or not and would be grateful if someone could test it out.

It works fine, although I wouldn't recommend downloading it unless you have a fast internet connection or a LOT of time on your hands.
Not watched it all the way through, but from what I can gather there is only about 5 seconds of Jamie Stevenson World Champion right at the end.

yeah, its a bit sexist and racist, about 6:30mins of it is on the womens race, with about 20s of Jenny, then in the mens it has kropf, schnieder, and jamie on the run in.
I know there is a better version out there, with lots of coverage, not just a biased swiss TV one.
