Uploading Polar HR data via IR

Hey

Anyone have ideas on how to upload heart rate data to a computer (Polar S-series heart rate monitor)? Do you need an extra accessory or do you need to download certain programs? Would be great if anyone knows.

If you've got built in IR on your PC, then in theory it should work with the newer S series monitors (ones with an 'i' on the end of the name) - my S710i certainly works with the built in IR on my PDA. With either a PC without built in IR, or an older monitor you need a separate IR interface to plug in (either USB or serial).

you need the polar software, but then any ir device should work

Adventure racer is correct wrt the i being required in the device name to be able to use any IR interface.

...and it would seem there may be a problem with installing on Vista.
