Are the results available anywhere?
I hear that Mats Haldin and Lizzie Adams were the victors?
Are the results being used to select anything in particular (world cups / nordics ?) or was it just a form guide for the athletes themselves?
GG was top brit male I think.

How do you deduce that then? From just looking at those results it could be a load of average performances and some bad ones. I'm sure that isn't the case but.... Does anyone know where last years time trial results are (Spring and Autumn)?

The top 3 women seem consistently quicker than the rest.
What about putting them in a relay team at a world cup and see what happens?
Seems like the targets are to break 18 mins for the men and 17 mins for the women.
Jamie will have to get that pb back!
Most athletes seem remarkably consistent, given that the 3 time trials were done at two different times of year (March/April and November)
I guess these superhumans are superfit all year round!
Impressive by Rob Baker (as said above) to knock 30secs off his pb.

Unfortunately there are no relays at world cups anymore in order to test wonderboy's genius plan.
The only national team relays now will be nordics and woc, not sure that will be the WOC relay team but you never know, this year's woc relay will certainly be run very fast ... but also gaffled... time will tell. I think there will be a bigger pool of girls running at the speed required by the summer - since most of us are following training plans that peak in August.
The time trial is a useful indicator of people's fitness and whether people are improving but the way the time trial is set up it doesn't even replicate the physical demands of orienteering* let alone sport itself. It is merely designed to test fitness and is therefore short and fast.
The girls have been set a standard of 17:45 to work towards
*actually it replicates quite nicely the physcial demands of this year's WOC middle and relay disciplines... where you will need to be fast as ## and very accurate technically in order to succeed. Gross has predicated that the Lithuanian's will win the WOC women's relay this year in Ukraine. Indre Valite was certainly kicking our butts out there a couple of summers ago. I think Hanny Allston will do pretty well, she just ran 16:16 for 5000m!
