Orienteering ….so tough I had to take up rugby to become a World Champion
Quotes from his autobiography - "I spent hours crashing through the undergrowth..…I would wander round the kid’s course without a clue where I was or what I should be doing. Usually I would end up getting lost or stuck in the bushes. "

I handed robin Field a copy of my mag in person with Martin on the cover with the self same picture and a bubble coming out of his mouth saying "I owe this all to Harlequins Orienteering club" and a story much along the same lines. ie - if he'd been any good at it (which he wasn't) he wouldn't have had to find something else to do with his sunday mornings - did they bother to use it - no. the Caravan club (very mumsyI know) have a big feature this month about someone in the squad who is a caravanner - I think it's Jason robards (excuse me if I've got it wrong) - but then they never miss a trick.

In february he knew who he was. But since scotlands 0 points at the 6 nations has undergone extensive hyponotherapy to block out the all too painful reality of scottish rugby!
