"Being defeated is only a temporary condition; giving up is what makes it permanent."

Relay results for today are now on the SWOC site.
http://www.swoc.org.uk/
I do not have the overall points scores but England lead, followed by Scotland with Wales not far behind.
First team home was England, followed by Wales, England, England and then Wales. All the leaders were very close with the leading 5 or 6 on the run in at the same time. If I get chance I will post up more detail tomorrow.
Individual day tomorrow on Merthyr Common and we will see if Wales can catch Scotland for runner up spot.

Even a WIN. Wow.
Well done.

I want to walk up the side of the mountain, I want to walk down the other side of the mountain. I want to swim in the river, lie in the sun. I want to try being nice to everyone.

Thanks to SWOC and the rest of the Welsh organising team for an excellent weekend.
The weather was clear for the relays which made things a bit easier but was great for spectators, with a fantastic sprint finish between 5 teams.
On Sunday the cloud was down and the area was fairly tricky and it caught a few people out - visibility was down to 50 metres or less for all but the lowest controls. Relocation was difficult as there were no line features, you couldn't see far enough to get a clear picture of the ground shape, and the area was covered in large shake holes which all looked the same. It was also much rougher than the relay with lots of rock and heather underfoot.
And the meal on Saturday night was very nice too.
