It was mentioned in another thread and reminded me that the first regional matches of the YBT have taken place.
Just to get some debate started...which clubs have qualified?

Does anyone know where the final is? I looked at BOF fixture list for Dec 10th and couldn't identify a specific event. I searched under Yvette Baker Trophy 2006 and failed.

It's the BKO district event at Cold Ash, Newbury.
It was quite nice yesterday (if a little soggy) knowing that as long as we got a finisher out of the light green/green course that an injury/illness/half marathon/gap year decimated team would qualify no matter how we did compared to the other teams there (BTW the same thing happened to COBOC at the 2002 qualifier when OD, WCH and COBOC all made it to the final).
We still managed to get 32 juniors out, despite the thunder and pouring rain. The inexperienced ones all had a great time, I'm not so sure how convinced the inexperienced parents were...thanks to Mrs H for the finish marquee - next time can we have it facing the run in so that we don't have to keep getting wet to see if anyone needs cheering in

You're welcome - but I'm sure if we had just sent out 3 well callibrated runners - one from each team - the rest of us could all have stayed at home
If we'd had the opening facing the run -in you certainly wouldn't have had to keep going outside to get wet - you could have stayed comfortably inside and got wet! Prevailing wind
Yes I spotted the final not too bad. Is it where the first FCC race was this year? quite a nice area I recall. We will have to mobilise some big guns too

And well done to POTOC for almost getting a complete team out for the competition - 7 competitors is good for a small club which says it doesn't have many juniors and has no schools linked to it to draw on. They are working on it.......

Thanks, 'Deaf Old Gorilla'.
At past YBT final events, the SI cards were 'on loan' rather than to hire by competitors. I notice that there is a £1 hire charge on the page with the details for EMIT. Will the same apply and will the YBT final competitors be able to get an E-card free of charge?
