Ours was a nice 10.5km burn up. With monkey nobthrob beating me by two seconds, and I was ahead at the last control. still a nice 56 min sprint.
Needless to say SOS won. yeah

NOC anyone?
anyone know how NOC fared? I can't get on the BOF site to seek results. It was only one w21 to count this year so Liz did the honours while I travelled 8 days north for the seds/squad w/e. So did we qualify? will we retain the Cup? I care. I've trekked around so many hmm variable areas (why o why always thetford) over the years running ickl baby courses just so NOC can maybe be the mightiest of clubs. which we are currently. after a ten year wait. sweet.

Full results can be found here.

The three regional rounds that we've hosted in EA have all been in Thetford because it's pretty much all that there is near the centre of the region...
Cheers, Mark.

hurrah.
Top performance from Rose Hodkinson. Thetford's alright for a burn up, I guess we can't exactly boast great areas round us either. Not like Rogie, Dallashyle etc anyway.. mm

The South East heat was cold, wet and windy. I'm not sure if any of the clubs had a full team... it can be a bit dispiriting when you're a small club with no hope in hell of ever doing well. I still think the new format is better than the knock-out as it makes it more exciting with more clubs at the heat - at least then there's some competition to watch, rather than my own club just getting plain old mullered.

While I wouldn't dispute the miserable weather at the end (the early runners had it OK), the turn out was not as bad as P2B makes out. The top 3 clubs (SO, SLOW and HH) all had full teams, and MV in fourth were only two (junior runs) short - they've stopped breeding in Surrey.
The courses were pretty good, if you didn't mind all those brambles on the straight line, and tricky enough to catch out some who normally do well.

results aren't availablefor the yorkshire round, but when i left (and there weren't many people starting after me) AIRE were winning by miles, with juniors dominating and solid performances everywhere else.
decent turnout as well, nice courses round a surprisingly nice forest. looks like i'll be competing against my old club in the final as well!

The reward of a thing well done is to have done it.
