Nice photos of Heather Monro receiving her award for top senior orienteer of the year last month, on the BOF website! Congratulations to her.
It is always sad when athletes retire, but Heather has left a fine performance legacy to inspire our younger runners. She also, as the regional development officer for the North West and North East, has worked hard to promote orienteering. Many clubs in the north of England have benefitted from her warm enthusiasm. Thanks.

It is great when top Orienteers decide to put something back into the sport. Heather has certainly done that and is great with the kids. Note the BSOC photos. I agree with RJ. Well done to Heather on both fronts.
Diets and fitness are no good if you can't read the map.
