Lessons will be learnt from the success of Orienteering Today but the remit of Compass Sport is very different to that of OT. It's not going to go all elite or anything bonkers like that.
Will? We've got proper fire now!

That's a bit harsh coming from an unknown guest. I may be a "young W21" (how patronising can you get?) but am a BOF Councillor, have been involved in communications forums over the last two months with a range of different BOf members and most importantly in close communication with Nick and Suse about the handover.
No, I don't decide the remit of the magazine at all, but to insinuate that I know nothing at all is more than a bit unfair.

I for one am very pleased to see that Compass Sport will be handed over to people who are very involved with the sport, and will hopefully provide what the public wants in an informative and entertaining way.
Plus as Becky is in charge of subscriptions, surely she is very involved with the magazine and has more idea than most about what is going on behind the scenes?

That's really rich coming from someone hiding behind 'guest' anonymity. What authority should your comments have? Zero? Negative values jump to mind.

Guest was me..... forgot to put my name. Comments stand though.... if Becky had said where she was coming from then her statement would have been perfect. Having seen the news section now (and Pyrat's deleted posts) then ... yes Becks does speak from a position of strength.
Good luck to the 'new' Compass Sport.......

Very best of luck Nick - I think it's a courageous move to make and one which I hope will be supported by the whole orienteering community throughout Britain - as I've said before We are very lucky to have an independent magazine and long may it continue. (glad it's not a secret any longer - I was going to burst)
Tell us how you would like us to support you Nick (apart from just buy it of course)
