"unaustralian" is the sort of rhetoric spouted by right wing pollies (eg Johnny Howard) usually just to denigrate anyone they disagree with.
Another Australianism come to my mind: "gutless". And I don't mean BJ - I mean whoever posted the above message without even having the guts to put their name to it

Not that I want to compare myself to BJ in the slightest, he's a few classes above (for now anyway!) but when you're in his position it gets to the point where you have to make the decision that's right to help you improve as an athlete. For me, that means quitting Clinical Medicine and reconsidering where I want my career to go.
Thanks to the incredibly hard work done securing funding by the Chief Exec, Staff and athletes themselves the GB Squad are in an enviable position in comparison to most countries - you only have to look at the last World Cups to show that their top program of training camps and support is paying off. What BJ has done moving to join them is a very brave thing and not one to be got at by the bitter types he left behind - especially when he's half British.
And anyways...who says he'd get in the team just like that...

Just in case anyone is wondering where the bitter australian post went to, i deleted it. House rules are in place now and if your going to post like that as a guest its not going to stay up

This smacks a little of Zola Budd & Greg Rudeski, excuse the spelling. It's legal within the rules but their heart is not in representing our country.
I hope that the home grown talent (100% Brits) are good enough to keep their places. But if not best of luck to him. It'll keep the Brits on their toes and add to the competition.

i don't think many of the british team are going to be upset by bj joining us, he's a great lad and will really benefit the team, as Ewan implied in his press release.
still... wish i hadn't followed him on first leg at 25manna...

Very few people these can claim to be 100% one nationality, hence most people have choices about who to compete for. Personally I was born in England, have a French mother, had a Welsh grandmother and I lived in Cardiff for 12 years. What nationality am I?
If he's half British and lives closer to Britain than Oz and trains more with Brits than Aussies then makes sense to me.
