Re: White Rose comments continue...
LostOldTimer wrote:White Rose Results Version 2 now published... its good to see that at least some of the errors in the original version of the results have been corrected, such as competitors originally being N/C and now reinstated - Are they now able to claim their prize, and the 4th placed competitors have theirs taken off them? Will the remaining errors be corrected? Its a fiasco if you ask me.
But remember although you can be competitive for each day, because each day is a regional event in it's own right, that doesn't necessarily make you eligible for prizes, where Ebor can determine the criteria they wish to reward, which they did in the pre-event literature.
The confusion was because non-eligibility for prizes was seen as the same as being non-competitive. (A very understandable confusion)

no, don't lock the thread, move it to banter. I think Mrs H's crushed diamond juice has been at work and we've entered a parallel universe with two different WRs. The one we attended was highly enjoyable, including the entertainment provided by ASS OK at the start of the relays. (& yes I know it wasn't their fault but it was very funny)

I have to agree the White Rose I attended was very enjoyable with reasonable quality areas (very good for that time of year). I would not complain about anything that ebor did apart from the obvious relay change, and even then I am quite happy with how they delt with it at the finish.
