I checked with BOF Office and was told that as this was not an orienteering activity and there was no map reading involved (you just follow the tapes!) then it did not break the embargo, but I will check again for next year.
FWIW running the race/course adds pretty much zero to any decent orienteer's store of knowledge. Almost the entire course is visible from the town/road. However, I do understand the sensitivities of those who perceive themselves at a disadvantage with others running the race.
I have to say the French 3-day really appeals: we've had two trips to the event in the same area and it was brilliant. However, don't think we can with commitments.
