800 AND 1500 TIMES
I have just joined Aldershot and Farnham district Athletics Club ( 4 weeks) When i started there my 1500 times was 5.36 i have now got that down to 5.13 and I believe in another months training I will be down in the 4.50's. I havent run a 800 race since year eight and my time then was 2.45 now I would hope to be in the low 2mins. However as you can see by my O results and splits I am much stronger in the
second half of the race. I put this down to all the hill work i do with my dad. I cant wait until next year because I think I will be able to blast the slow W16 of the map.

In England and Wales, all you have to do is add 5 to the year to find the birthday the student will have during that school year (Sep 1st - Aug 31st). So, as Jo says, year 8s have their 13th birthday during the school year. So,Kirstin, you'd be a very young year 8.

800m times
Sorry for the slow reply but school has been rather busy the last few days and my wife had to pointout the original comment to me
English Schools standard tables 2005
(I would imagine they are also on the English Schools website)
Under 19 boys National 1.53County 2.02 School 2.15
Under 19 Girls N 2.13 C 2.25 S 2.47
Under 17 Boys N 1.57 C 2.05 S 2.20
Under 17 Girls N 2.15 C 2.25 S 2.47
Under 15 Boys N 2.04 C 2.13 S 2.27
Under 15 Girls N 2.17 C 2.29 S 2.50
Year 8 Boys S 2.33
Year 8 Girls 2.52
Year 7 Boys S 2.41
Year 7 Girls S 2.57
Limited times to schools for Year 7/8 are because students do not compete in English Schools Finals at younger age groups
If you also look at the previous times given for 1500 and 3000 which hopefully the 'sleepy owl' (Simon) will put a link to - you will be able to see how you compare
Don't forget that the times quoted are for ideal conditions and would normally be on tarten tracks
Hope all this helps
