Sins this year will be huge. Nearly 900 entries for shropshires premier orienteering weekend. If the weathers great it shall be delightful. Those at the campsite might want to check the entertainment out...
SinS always has entertainment!
On Saturay evening we have the childrens O event. We call it that but in reality we let anyone do it. Only the young ones get a prize though!
On Sunday night in the Event Centre we have a Race Night + licensed bar + restaurant.
Each Jockey has to wind his horse over the finishing line first. Eight races each with eight jockeys. A Tote system will operate in case you know beforehand who is going to win. You can then go up and collect your winnings!
See http://www.sins.org.uk and link to "Sunday Night".
Vacancies for jockeys still exist.
Enjoy

SINS sound effects
Check out the sound effects on the race day info pages. A good event all-round, in an often-overlooked part of England.

Brilliant
No doubt the weather helped but I thought this years SINS was the best I have been too (which is all of them since 1995). Wrekin, and Graham Hardy in particular, deserve tremendous credit for their drive in promoting the event, when I think most of us felt that we would still be recovering from the JK. The reward was an entry which was close to 1000, over 30% up on 2003.
Harlequins organised and planned Day 1, but other than providing controllers for Day 2 and 3, Wrekin did the rest themselves, a fantastic effort for a small club.
Special mention for Jill Leventon, who not only took the entries, but ran all the computing for the three events. I know how much effort and stress that can be.
Take a rest Graham and Jill, you deserve it!

I'm told I do it better in the dark

Sins 2005
Yes,agree absolutely. Very good relaxed organisation. Excellent maps and planning on all three days. Glad we didn't go further north!

Even though sadly couldn't be there this year (keeping the NHS running over BH weekend yet again) I followed SINS on the website, and have to say how much I love the quirky, laid-back language and the photos. Made me imagine myself there, relax and laugh just to read it. Thanks to the authors who-ever you are (definitely my sort of orienteer)!

The site for the 2003 event was amusing...
They were stumped for pictures of Clee Hill, so nicked one off the web.
Now for the fun bit, it was on the site of another orienteer , It was mine! I did enjoy making them squirm.. Like what are the chances of you getting caught out by another orienteer... Not as if we are numerous....
Fun event, glad this year was good as well.
