Does anybody know whether Leeds Met Uni has an orienteering club, or for that matter Leeds uni.
If Leeds uni has one are there opportunities for students at Leeds Met to participate.
Failing all of the above, if at Leeds Met what are the best options for continuing orienteering once at Uni.

Leeds Met don't have a club but talk to aislinn austin, if you PM me i'll give you her email address, a current leeds met orienteer (busa champion!) - she finishes this summer but she should know how you can get money out of the sports union for busa and stuff like that. When I was at Leeds Uni just a few years ago the orienteering club was thriving alongside a still very large and active cross country club. Now LUOC have died away but there are still lots of orienteers in and around the university, and it would only take one keen fresher to get the club started again. AIRE are the local club, very friendly and helpful withg lifts etc. I can give you some other contact details too if you want.

there are a number of people still at leeds uni who go orienteering, though there isn't an official club (i.e. no committee). we normally just organise things ourselves, and when fit, actually do technique training once a fortnight or so. there are loads of mapped areas in Leeds, including one of the Met campuses a plan to map the main Leeds Uni campus this summer.
as harry said, aislinn is at leeds met, and she's always been able to get lifts to events with us. AIRE (the Leeds 'o' club) are a very active and very helpful club, during the summer (May - July) there are training events every Wednesday.
Leeds have run at the BUSA champs every year since i joined in 2001. As for the Met, Aislinn has been the only member in that time, but she has always come with us.
As for training opportunities most of us train with the uni XC club, which is open (unofficially) to members of both uni's, and is a very active club. Training commences every day of the week for those who are keen, and a few people head off to fell races now and again.
there was actually something in the Leeds Student paper this week about a scholarship scheme at the Met. The standard required is pretty high though, with only 20 students at the whole uni getting a scholarship of £1000 a year.

I don't know about uni clubs but AIRE are starting a series of Wednesday evening events starting on the 18th May. A lot of these have sprint o's attatched to them. See the AIRE website for details. (http://www.ilkley.org/orienteering)
