Here is my thoughts:
Men
Duncan Coombs
James Tullie
Matt Dickinson
Scott Fraser*
Those 4 should definetly be in, in my opinion. Then the next 2 places will probably go to either
Oleg Chepelin* (fitness test)
Colin Olivant
Dan Halliday* (fitness test)
Rhys Findlay-Robinson
Its a tough decision, they probably won't be able to take 3 people who didn't run at the FCC final (*), Colin had the next best results in the final, then Rhys. Maybe Ben Stevens has a chance.
Women
Cerys Manning
Alison O'Neil
Helen Gardner
Lizzie Adams
Jessica Halliday
That leaves 1 spot for
Ruth Holmes
Rebecca Roberts
Mhairi Mackenzie* (fitness test)
Stefanie Blomquist, 2 8th places, probably not enough to get in the team, but Pre-2006 is looking good. Only bottom year 18 still.
Feel free to agree or disagree...

Rose was 11th in the middle race and 13th in the classic - not exactly JWOC standard. I know she did really well in the qualifiers, but if you can't perform on the day, then you don't deserve to go. JWOC is not a series of runs, it is 3 races, you need to be able to pull out the performances on the day.
Maybe Joe Mercer in the guys, finished 6th overall in the weekend, and still only an 18 - good potential. Apart from that agree with Mharky.
The selectors really have got to think about those who didn't run in the final due to injury - do they select them and say that they have to pass a fitness test by a certain date? If this is the case then whoever the reserves are certainly need to be aiming to peek at JWOC as they may well be running. Or do they just not pick them at all and say it's just unlucky?

rose won by well over 5 minutes more than once in the qualifiers, and then didnt do as well in the final, but if "you dont perform on the day then you dont deserve to go" should mean that scott, oleg, dan etc shouldnt be selected....

not a clue as to who will get selected, selections for the guys especially will not be a fun job with perhaps 3 of the favourites for selection all missing from the selection races!
i'd say duncan & james have to go, probably mat too although he is a 2nd year 20?
good luck to the selectors I say!!!

maybe dave schorah has a chance of a reserve, 2nd m18 in the overall series and a 4th in the middle final. he had some v good results in qualifyers, so depends how much they take notice of the qualifyers i guess...

For all you know Rose could have been carrying an injury...I have no idea if she was or not, but what I do know is that she was absolutely supreme in the qualifiers, and despite having poor runs in the final still won the series, goes to show true class methinks.

if you dont think you can run to your full potential in the final you shouldnt run, especially if you are carrying an injury, you are far more likely to do yourself damage than good

if rose was carrying an injury then she would have told the selectors beforehand and they will take that into consideration when they meet to select the team.

I agree Jess should go, she had a great weekend and was consistent in the qualifiers.
I believe Rose was suffering from stomach pains over the weekend, her recent exceptional form should be taken into account. I would like to see her be given her chance.
