I think it perhaps still applies but would be much less likely. An example would be perhaps a handfull of depressions in a forest "square" bounded by paths and the depression was in the wrong one. A longer leg from there exiting diagonally from the block. It's not going to affect your exit from the control it being in the wrong one even if you didn't know it was in the wrong one therefore I would argue the fairer result was to include that subsequent leg to maintain as much of the original course as possible.

My memory is getting hazy. Haveing just had a look at the results for the offending Lamm I realise that the reason why 1 and 2 had to be scrapped when 1 was in the wrong place is that as well it being in the wrong place it was not working when you did find it.. So if you were going to take anything out then you had to start from 2 ....

Rocky's CSC report:
Wrong on 2 accounts! Unless he knows something I don't. I hope he's right of course.
In a hotly contested battle between three of the strongest clubs in Britain it was Walton Chasers who came out infront of Octovanian Droobers and Harlequins to win the EMOA round.

There's only one team in Cambridge

Where's your loyalty, all three clubs surely as Harlequins aren't in EMOA either thought you might know that. Nice to note that our club strength has finally been acknowledged

Diets and fitness are no good if you can't read the map.

The results from the NW round of the CSC/T have just been released. Apparently amendments were made to courses 1, 2 and 3, removing legs in and out of control 141. Plus a removal of leg one from those courses affected by the control description mishap. Controller's comments below. Sorry, Fish, we will have to see if most people are now happy with the decision, and that it ends up being a fair compromise.
Congratulations to MDOC and WCOC. Bring on the final!

A Note from the Controller
Control 141 was incorrectly sited. The times for the leg to this control and the following leg have been omitted. This affects Courses 1, 2 and 3.
Because of the confusion surrounding the labelling of the loose control descriptions the time for the first leg on Courses 1 and 2 has been omitted.
It goes without saying that I apologise most profusely for the errors which may have spoiled your enjoyment of the day. Undoubtedly there have been some winners and some losers because of my decisions. By using the electronic timing we have avoided basing the results on the times of less than half the competitors, thus enabling everyone to contribute to what is, after all, a team competition.
My congratulations to MDOC and WCOC.
