Ah...ha.... we know Mr & Mrs V are coming..... but it's Baekkelaget NOT the Norwegian Team as stated in the BOF Press Release..... so BOF are talking crap:) Mind you in thier defenses I would say the Norwegian World Champions or similar rather than Baekkelagets coz no press are going to visit to speak to a random Norwegian team..... so BOF are still talking crap but at least it's positive crap:)

Let's just get this straight shall we! What the Press Release actually said was "Members of the Great Britain and Norwegian Orienteering Squads will be training in Guildford on Friday 25 February in the afternoon."
This is precisely what did happen: members of both squads actually were there yesterday afternoon, and they met the press too.
And if you want to blame anyone for the press release, don't blame BOF - they're just the messenger - blame the hard working World Cup volunteers who sent the press release out to over 200 people in order to try to generate interest in the GBR Squad and the World Cup event.
But then they didn't do anything wrong, did they? Gordon, I think an apology is due ...

Sorry but the Press Release said / implied that the Norwegia Squad was coming when, in fact it was a Norwegian Club that contained members of the Squad. A subtle difference. Similar to the Interland comment that England won with the help of the Squad.... that was accurate.
In fact the press release was inaccurate but as I said in my posting I'd have done / said the same thing....
But since it's nothing to get worked up about my apologies for misinterpereting a Norwegian Club as the Norwegian Squad....
I hope it was a great sucess & the GB Press was represented & interested in Mr & Mrs V.... undoubtedly one of the world's top sporting partnerships.
Maybe David can give us some feed back from the conference???
