Windy Wim Event
What a wind at Bovington today. Put me in mind of the BOC in the NE. Although nothing could ever be that bad! Brought back memories of wallow running up on the Surrey Army areas. Still no excuse for not being able tio keep up with everyone else![/u][/b]

sounds like I made the right decision today then! I was torn between the WIM Regional or Midland Champs Indoor High Jump in Birmingham - opted for the HJ and got a pb + bronze medal in the mean time and it was warm and dry

was pretty windy up north too, almost everyone at the esoc sprint o today was enlisted to stop the tent blowing away!
...and i was at the top of the pentlands at the time so can imagine how windy it was up there!

Midland Champs were cold and windy, prize giving all huddled inside the noc club tent, not all stand back and watch. There were only a few brave souls who stayed for the very prompt prize giving. Despite the cold weather a good day with good courses, great assembly area, and smooth efficient organisation.

We had three days good winter walking in the Keswick area over the weekend - fairly high winds, snow showers, low cloud and so on - it was magic! Snow was lower on Sunday morning than earlier in the week. Spent the day on the Whinlatter Fells with great views over Latrigg etc. Even better, the weather seemed to keep the numbers down; on Friday we saw two people on Grisedale Pike etc. all day! (the joy of different half-terms). A weekend where really didn't want to get back to work afterwards even more than usual!

Lucky us coaches had a minibus to sit in while the juniors ran around in the snow wasn't it.
The weather was beautiful yesterday (monday) and a good race on a lovely area.

I finished during the first lot of hail. I was rather glad that I had sent a coat down to the finish at that stage
I organised the whole thing, I even arranged for the hail to come as I sat down in my car for a 10 minute breather and a sandwich. I felt for you guys out there, really I did.
