Ski-orienteering
After taking part in two races this weekend (note the emphasis on "taking part") I'm starting to get hooked. Skiing through a forest in bright sunshine with thick snow and -10oC is something else (although Wednesday evening training with a head torch is also interesting, especially in the thicker bits of forest). But it also got me thinking about whether there are any other Brits out there who a) get the chance to compete in ski-o and b) do compete. I know that in the past we have had people compete in the world champs (Sarah Crymble, another former Kingussie High pupil, was one) but is there anyone going to Finland this winter? Is this, at long last, a chance to make my international representative debut, in the British ski-o squad (if there is such a thing)?

in recent years Nick Morgan has been representing GBR (but only as a junior i think), try nicholas.morgan@veths.no, he may well be able to put you in touch with some contacts.
There was an article in o-sport last year which featured Grant Bluett and Greg Barbour at the World Champs i think, they had been invited just so the organisers could boast about which countries were taking part!
