it depends which club you are putting down. Mine was £8 for an SOA club. Interestingly the adult membership for the same club was £29! This compared to I think £6/£18 for my former EMOA club.
This one fee includes your BOF, SOA (or whatever other region) and any membership fees your club has. That's what I was told anyway.
Fee should be on your renewal form, unless you are changing clubs in which case you should ring BOF and ask Nicole. Probably will be £8 tho, for an SOA club.

ok, just got an email back from her saying £3.50 but I presume that is just the BOF fee, rather than club/soa&bof fee? £8 sounds familiar from last year.
Renewal form doesnt take into account studenthood so is 28 quid or so, nae chance.

my BOF fee came back, as a student of £29.50. thats cheap. my parents BOF membership for both of them was £29.
hmm, nice to see students gett good rates.
i think helen is right with the £8, although youu will have to present you student ID, letter of admition and one from your DOS, birh certificate and DNA to prove it. join an english club, its cheaper

yep english o clubs are cheaper. but, interestingly, if you are also thinking about renewing your YHA (yoot hostel association) membership it's cheaper to join the SYHA and you don't have to be scottish or go to scotland or know where scotland is or anything.

Personally I think it's a bit cheeky that BOF don't say on the BOF renewal form (unless I've missed something somewhere) that if you're a full-time student you can send them proof of that (and a copy of my NUS card has always done the trick), cross out the price on your form and send them a cheque for a lower amount. Maybe they hope that people will just pay the higher fee, forgetting that they don't actually have to pay it? (Though you would hope that if someone can pay £6 they wouldn't pay £22.50!)
From the most recent YHA mailing you actually won't have to be member of YHA from 1st March 2005 to stay in their Youth Hostels, although you will need to pay a surcharge of £3 (I think) to stay.

I didn't get my letter with the payment on till I came home and it was past the date to change it. So 27 quid came out of my account by Direct Debit. If you were a student the year before would it really hurt them so much to assume you were one the next year? Especially as I'm still a member of OUOC on the info sheet - makes very little sense.
Will? We've got proper fire now!

Or if you are 25 or older.
