Oooooo looks like i struck a nerve there - as for the junior champs - i was certainly not the only one and I am entitled to my opinion - but the selectors got the last laugh anyway by turning it into a selection race for the JHI - so some or all of us will end up going anyway. the whole point is that if priorities had been got right in the first place we would all have been going to Penhale for the early May bank holiday - but this dogs dinner World thingy seems to have got in the way all along the line - hopefully from next year the BOC will be set on a holiday weekend - as it should be.
As for your 35 years of travelling compared to mine - i merely think you are very lucky to have been associated with the sport that long - i wish I had had that opportunity - i have been trying to make up for it in the last 5 years. And I don't trail after my children - i support them in their aspirtations - you'd be the first to crticise if I was pushing them - as it is - they push me and I go willingly!
Jon - you could't possibly be accusing me of being provocative could you?

Sure did Mrs H. - The nerves are still red raw. One of the few things that I struggle to look at with any sense of humour whatsoever, given how so many people are either excluded or at best required to pay huge sums to compete.Oooooo looks like i struck a nerve there
Absolutely- and I'd defend your right to have it and say it too. My argument was not with you, but with Council, who showed they had the spine and decision making skills of a jellyfish, and reneged on a decision because of loud noises being made by relatively few..i was certainly not the only one and I am entitled to my opinion
Now there we are in total agreement.the whole point is that if priorities had been got right in the first place we would all have been going to Penhale for the early May bank holiday.
Probably the only good thing to come out of this debacle, even if it should have been in place ages ago.hopefully from next year the BOC will be set on a holiday weekend - as it should be.
Again, agree - the sport itself is superb.i merely think you are very lucky to have been associated with the sport that long.
Trail around after, support, it effectively makes no difference. Willing enough to pay up, smile and go to an event which was a championship for the children but not for you?And I don't trail after my children...they push me and I go willingly

Given that it's now a selection race anyway - the answer to that is obviously Yes! - as i said earlier - they have had the last laugh!

Sorry Mrs H. - I misread your comment - blame it on my distraction having inspectors in school this week - didn't realise you were referring to the World Cup race. Must admit, it does seem that there seems to be rather a surfeit of selection races; there always seems to be one on. Strikes me that a bit of rationalisation wouldn't go amiss.
