All this uni talk might stop juniors from going to university at this rate!!!
it all seems like WAY too much pressure to me with people saying "come here" or "go there".
When i was choosing where to go, orienteering had the minimal effect on my uni choice - and coaches etc. were in support of wherever i was to go (e.g. snoots/sian c. etc.)...and everyone joined in the banter from all sides...
Anywhere is good, just some places are more active for orienteering training and competitions than others.
Don't let orienteering rule your life...
...unless you want it too.
LEEDS UNI is great!!!

Also, I presume that most people have chosen their top 6 Universities already, and will already know their prefered 2 or so out of those.
Although, I must admit, it is fun hearing peoples arguments as to why their Uni is the best...

I want to walk up the side of the mountain, I want to walk down the other side of the mountain. I want to swim in the river, lie in the sun. I want to try being nice to everyone.

to see some real football, heart of hibernian or somthing... they get top 10s in the premiership, amazing!
i went to edinburgh to get a degree in sports psychology because i got rejected off psychology 5 times. im going to make a point of it.
i think i might do a Phd and somewhere with an inactive club and get it big and bulstering like UWOC, and then use them as test subjects, which, may go wrong and they will transformed into super-humans, witht the strength of 10 bears, and the speed of several cheetahs put together, and the navigation ability of a migrating swan.

yet more weight behind the argument that orienteers have a deep psychological yearning to be superheroes.... think abotu it: wanting to be faster, harder tougher, at the same time as wearing stupidly coloured skin tight clothing!
