OK Peeps! just managed to get back on line after last night's JK meeting and have good news - The Committee says Yeah!
You can have your communal tent on the 2 individual days - but apparently not on the relay day for some technical reason - something to do with it being under trees!
There will be a 20x 20 foot marquee for communal use by anyone who doesn't have a club tent - bring your own things to sit on - and i think nope will be in there too. Hoorah!
You can also have your dedicated phone line on Saturday night (6-8pm?) to check on your elite start times - i hope you're pleased with me Greame -
I am still struggling on the bus - JJ's only have one minibus available. I'm thinking of asking BSOA if they can somehow access some of their members' mini-buses which will be lying idle over the easter holidays - payment over expenses may not be possible but donations to BSOA would i'm sure be welcome what do you think Hocolite?
Sunday night entertainment - I'm serious about some low key background home made entertainment with a couple of banter sessions thrown in (nope video? bingo? - who knows) Keep talking to me!
Jk - we are getting there!

C'mon G you miss this campsite and you'll regret it, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow - but some time soon and for the rest of your life
You can sleep in your own bed any old day - this is a 3 day only opportunity and people will be talking about it for years - won't they samsonite?
Oh i didn't know Peter had retired - well if you don't think BSOA wanta the money i'll try else where (Brum isn't the otherside of the known universe from lichfield)

I don't like to mention this, since you're obviously doing such a great job, but, er, well, um, that's not quite what *I* asked about which was a creche tent and correct details about elite starts for split-starters in the programme.

You've just ruined my evening anyway - What you said was
and presumably if you ring the phone line you'll get the correct information
the co-ordinator has also promised the following
But, (she says wearily,) i will raise your specific quiery with him
Even if its only a big tent where all the kiddies can go to play, rather than sit in the car in the March rain for four hours.
Even if you supply no manpower and have a requirement that the parents hang around.
and presumably if you ring the phone line you'll get the correct information
the co-ordinator has also promised the following
Re Elite start times:
1. We intend to post them at the race site at the end of Day One
2. We intend to post them up onto the net at the end of Day One
3. We intend to both have some available for spectators and some
posted at the Day 2 race site
But, (she says wearily,) i will raise your specific quiery with him

That would be fine. Except that's what they told us last time and it wasn't so.

Sorry It just sounded like the big tent would be a free-for-all and not child friendly.

Graeme my friend. Gift Horse. Mouth. Looking. are some words that are coming nto my mind at the moment.
You've asked for a big tent - i've got one for you - i managed to procure it on the grounds that it would be good for people who did not have a club tent or who needed a bit of space - like foreigners or families - what you do in it is up to you - I cant organise what's going on inside it - i'm actually event centre manager and this is way outside my remit - but i did it because you asked for it - i'll be bloody lucky to get a run at all - which will be a shame as I aim to kick ass in my first year on W 50s and with my new bionic contact lens etc - I am not (NOT) going to look after your children too! (but i might be able to lend you my children to look after your children if they are back from their runs)
Most foreigners have given up eating children these day too - so I consider the two groups to be compatible.
