Anybody looking to join a Scandinavian club could do worse than joining Tyrving. With cheap flights to Oslo, it is very easy to get over and train with the club. They organise about 5/6 training camps each year (in the last few years I have been to Spain, Denmark and Estonia among others), which are heavily subsidised for people running for Tyrving. They also have teams in all the big relays, and a very good young base of elite athletes (between 4 and 6 runners at each of the last three JWOCs)
This would be a great way to improve your orienteering and get to some big overseas competitions.

Nykoping is an alternative option. Although not as big a club as tyrving they offer oportunties to run in the major scandi relays. And the club hut is only 10mins from scavsta airport (or however its spelt).
