Just got back from training and checked the WOC pages.
This is my favorite from the live comments so far
"Jani Lakanen was all smiles when entering the media zone and had a really long chat with the finnish media...I really did not understand anything..."
Anyway it looks like all the Brits might qualify. Heather got the "deathgroup" !!

well done to all the brits for qualifying, just noticed a couple of interesting results from heat A in the mens qualifying.
21 Brian May U.S.A 75:11.1 12:54
22 Wil Smith Canada 75:18.3 13:01
amazing what rock stars and actors do it their spare time.

If anyone needs any inspiration, look no further than Pasi's site. It always makes me laugh and want to put in a few extra kilometres. i hadn't looked for a while but it's worth it just for his comments on the long distance qualifier:-
"Physically it wasn't the best day but good enough. I had the biggest problems when I ran on stony areas covered with slippery moss (maybe it isn't my speciality anymore after so little amount of kilometres in "shit-terrains" lately*.) But as Cage says in the movie Face/Off:"We're going to deal with it...""
He also has all maps, splits, routes etc and Hanne's put hers on StaffValstad. Both sites are linked from nopesport i think.
*maybe the silly nopesport nanny function will change what he wrote, it should read so little amount of kilometres in "sh!t terrains" lately
