depends which results you've seen....scots were 2nd......but only by two points.....my result and some1 else from the welsh squad was then added therefore increasing points, so the 2nd set of results have wales joint 2nd....or scots 3rd....the results are all a bit screwed up really....u'll have to wait till they come out officially to find out what the final result was
meanwhile *fingers crossed* for wales, lol

I disagree with you Jene. I think the JHIs were organised amazingly considering it was a very much one-man, Derek Allison, effort. No-one else had agreed to do it and he bravely took charge by himself and I think it was a great effort. Faulty SI boxs are not the organisers fault- they failed during the competition. The results were confusing but we can forgive them for what was a great weekend. Take a look back at last year when we were running in nettly, brambly block forest relay area with non-gaffled courses run in different orders where you had to punch at the start. I think the evening entertainment was loads better but was a shame about the lack of participation by the English and especially Scottish (but well done the Welsh and Irish).

I think the competition was good this year with Wales having a really good individual and giving us a scare. We didn't perform quite so well on the individual, which was a bit of a dissapoinment because we know that we have to be on top form to have a chance of beating England, as their squad is always so strong.
I agree with Andy that Derek did an excellent job organising it himself considering. However I think it is totally disgraceful that no-one in the whole of England was willing to organise it. In a country over ten times the size of the other home nations this is appalling. It is true that it is a small event that will most likely run at a loss. I think overall the organisation of the weekend was a bit poor, but this is no fault of Dereks. The only major complaints were the lack of relay bibs, no back up punches on controls and the evening meal, which was absolutely awful (I found a metal ball bearing in mine).
