I now have a weeks extension to my uni holiday during WOC week and i fancy going to watch.
Is anyone else going? (someones asked this already i know)
Can't really find too much helpful infomation on where to stay etc on the website anyone help? Transport to events? Will be by myself so really need to get in touch with the official supporters club as well.

we (that's me and two others) are going, have everything booked except a campsite, and we keep putting that decision off in the hope of discovering where everyone else is staying. At this rate we'll end up sleeping in the car. Does anyone have inside info on campsites in vasteras/is anyone organised enough to have already made their accomodation decision?

If there are a few people staying in the same place i'll definatly tag WOC onto the end of my sweden holiday. Campsites?

I don't know - I'd like to go for a few days - will probably know by Monday if I'm going
Haven't had much luck with accom though. would be nice to stay with some other people coz I'd be going by myself. I've emailed a hostel that's close to the woc areas (gruvbyn) but haven't had a reply

OK so if we make a decision here where to stay then everyone can stay there and it will be really fun only problem is I'm really struggling with the tourist website, have sent them an email asking about campsites - I'll report back if I get a reply!

For people wanting to stay in campsites:
On the offical website it just points you to the tourist office. But when asked the WOC tour organisers said:
"About campsites I´ll give you some telephone number: Johannisbergs Camping 0046 21 140279 and Sundängens Camping 0046 171 441043. I hope that is ok for you: Welcome!"
Johannisbergs Camping is just South of Vasteras next to the lake it seems. See http://turism.vastmanland.se/sprak/eng/index.html (then accomodation, camping) for a good map.
Unfortunately can't find any more about them as my Swedish isn't up to much.
22 days to go...

Ok, i've been to the website and read it in swedish so here's a bit more info:
Johannisberg camping: huts and camping available ring +46 21 140279 for prices etc. its just south west of västerås.
Sundängen camping: its the one called Ängsö on the website above. 20km east of västerås. ring phone number above or email on camping@home.se
Stadscamping (Båtmacken): campsite on southern edge of city by lake. ullareine@hotmail.com or +46 21 130025 says its 225 SEK-day which includes electricity and stuff, sounds like more of a caravan site really. also mentions a maximum of 2 days but would probably need to ring and check
Björnogården: huts for 2 to 6 people. 2 man hut is 350sek/day. mail@bjornogarden.nu its on an island just souh of the ryan air airport on the east side of the city. theres also camping on the island but i cant find any info about it.
Apalby huts: are almost on the sprint race map! no price info on the net but phone number is +46 21 130025
and it think thats about it! one of them must have places for all of us
