kind of in the city - but the kind of forested lump you get randomly scattered around scandi cities (and with a bit of playing fields and so on).
If it's like the selection race then it's basically a glorified orange course - although apparently the swedes selection final was meant to be a bit trickier?

WOC is in city forest.
that is basically a typical piece of Swedish town forest, some contours, no great detail, boulders, crags, bilberries, marshes and lots of paths, from gravelled, lighted tracks to indistinct paths. A place where the townsfolk run, walk wander. Nothing very technical.
