It is very irritating that there is an index to sports on the BBC website and orienteering is missing. Anyone tried educating them?

Orienteering does seem to be widely misunderstood - one travel insurance policy I've seen covers "orienteering (no climbing)"!

The Radio 4 WatO coverage didn't do the sport any favours (or even position it as a sport). It was mainly described as an activity for people who enjoyed those strange retro things called maps and allowed them to look up at nice architecture instead of having them staring down at the GPS on their phones. There was a vox pop about "When did you last use a map?".
