Really?
Does 'Blue' tell you what to expect?
It tells me that it is further than I would be happy to run.
Which is important when I am deciding which course to enter, whereas "long", "medium" and "short", which are the choices on offer tell me nothing at all.
it doesn't say anything about the technical challenge other than its as hard as the area allows.
No but, nor do "long", "medium" and "short".
We are not being offered different technical challenges - and the expectation is that all the courses will be technically challenging.
The C&I courses tend to be planned to make best use of the areas rather than conform to any specific course profiles.
Which is perfectly fine, but having planned a range of different length courses then you need to let people know long they are so we can judge which to enter.
This year there are two Middle races and a Long'ish race. I'd expect the 'middle' winning times to be longer than 35 mins.
Which again is fine, so long as that is explained.
