UK Urban League 2024

Time for my annual plea.
In the next 10 days or so, I will be selecting the races for the 2024 UK Urban League. I aim to have 2 (or rarely 3) races per association, which generally works out at around 21 in all. I've just filtered the British Orienteering fixture list for Regional or National events in 2024 that are tagged 'Urban' or 'Sprint' and have found only 35 candidates. That's not many to choose from! YHOA and EMOA have got their acts together, but there are no registered events in Wales or Northern Ireland and only one in each of the EA, NE, SC, SE and WM Orienteering Associations.
If you'd like your club's event to be considered for inclusion, please ask your club fixture secretary to get it registered and badger the regional fixture secretary to make it Regional or National. And don't forget that 'Urban' or 'Sprint' tag: without that, the fixture filter will exclude it, even if it says 'Urban' in the title.

I don't know where it's at in terms of development, but I've got 2024 Sprint Scotland down in my diary for weekend 4th and 5th May.

I believe WAOC's Yaxley (29/9) and Bedford (9/6) events are now correctly tagged as urbans. Both newly mapped areas after a successful test with MapRun courses.

The Saturday of the DEE Urban Weekend in October will also be an urban event (middle distance) (Saturday 12th Octyober). Both days will be in Chester.
