It's now nearly three years since COVID caused the postponement of the 2020 WMOC in Slovakia, but it's now on track to be held this year at the same venues this August (11th to 18th), based on the city of Košice.
Entries have been open for some time now and the "early bird" entry fee period is about to come to an end on 10th January (entry details are here).

Re: WMOC 2023 - Slovakia
Yesterday's Middle Final brought only one medal to Team GB, the Gold won by Sarah Rollins in W45, beating the next finisher by over 4 minutes - a fantastic performance!
Near misses were recorded by John Embrey, 4th in M65 and Liz Godfree, 4th in W75.
The competition reaches its climax tomorrow with the Long Distance Finals and our first taste of karst terrain.
Full results from the Middle Final are here.

Re: WMOC 2023 - Slovakia
The Long Distance Finals brought WMOC 2023 to a close in Slovakia today. British podium success was rare, but Sarah Rollins gave us good reason to cheer with a Silver medal, missing Gold by only 4 seconds. This completed a "full house" of Gold, Silver and Bronze in the three events - pretty impressive!
Near misses were achieved by Nick Barrable (M45) and John Embrey (M65) who both missed Bronze by a small margin.
