Cheers. If one wanted to get a race into the UKOL (I assume it's too late for this year?), who do you contact? Doesn't seem to be in the rules (https://www.britishorienteering.org.uk/ ... league.pdf)

Re: UKOL 2023
I think the formal route is to make a proposal via regional fixtures secretaries to the national fixtures secretary. As you can see from this year’s list https://www.ukorienteeringleague.org.uk/page/schedule (link should be replaced by 2023 events soon), the majority of the slots are national championships plus a couple of days of the summer o-week and regional championships, together with associated events to make up weekends with regionals and night champs. In 2022 there were only seven events that didn’t get in virtually automatically: Edinburgh Big Weekend, Concord Chase weekend, DEE October weekend and November Classic.
As the rules say “The League must, over the course of a year, use a variety of terrain and formats and should be as geographically balanced as possible”, so best chance of getting an event accepted is to pair it with another on the same weekend and to be in a part of the country that isn’t well served by the “automatic” selections. PM me(Peter Gorvett) if you need more
