The British Night Champs are being held on Saturday Feb 18th 2023 at Moors Valley Country Park near Ringwood. Entries on Fabian4 are now open on https://www.fabian4.co.uk/default.aspx?EventID=3318
and close on Feb 5th.
Full details will be posted as they become available on the BNOC 2023 website at https://www.britishorienteering.org.uk/page/british_night#:~:text=Winbourne%20Orienteers%20welcome%20you%20to,Championships%20will%20be%20available%20soon.
and you can find the flyer at http://www.wimborne-orienteers.co.uk/d7/sites/default/files/2023%20British%20Night%20Orienteering%20Championships%20flyer.pdf#overlay-context=node/55
We very much hope to see you there.
If you wish to make a weekend of it, a regional event organised by SOC and WSX will be held on Sunday 19th February 2023 in the nearby New Forest. Entries for this will open in the New Year.
Whilst I'm advertising BNOC 2023, I might as well give details of two more WIM events.
Our ever popular Boxing Day Canter, now in its 51st year, will be held in Ringwood Forest North on Mon 26th Dec. Details on the WIM website http://www.wimborne-orienteers.co.uk/d7/ and entries on Fabian, which close on Christmas Day or when the maps run outhttps://www.fabian4.co.uk/default.aspx?EventID=3318
Finally on Sun Jan 15th we are holding a regional event at Bere Wood near Bere Regis, last used for orienteering in March 1995 by the now defunct WEYOR club. The area is now used for paintballing but we've managed to persuade them to let us use it during their quiet season after Christmas. It is a mixture of coniferous and deciduous
forest, much of which is mature and fast running, interspersed with large
sink holes, which can be wet or dry.Our controller thinks its a 'great area'
Again, details on the WIM website (see above) and entries are now open on Fabian and close on Jan 12thhttps://www.fabian4.co.uk/default.aspx?EventID=3324

Re: British Night Orienteering Championships 2023
If you want a follow-up to BNC try the Scottish Night Champs - a week later.

Balmoral... so... a cracking area, totally unaffected by last winter's gales and oodles of lovely runnable technical-as-anything terrain - what's not to like?
There may even be a royal café for before and after your race - watch this space...
