MapRunG issues
I used MapRunG a lot during lockdown and it always worked fine, and I'm using it to plan a club training event. Up to a few weeks ago that was fine too, then today I wanted to do a final check of some sites so loaded a suitable course with CheckSites, selected it in MapRun6 on the phone, sent the course to Garmin (using the same watch Id I'd used for ages), then sync'd the watch and drove to where the event was to be. It was then that I discovered that MapRunG was no longer on my watch! After much messing about (the phone signal was poor) I reinstalled it and got a different watch Id, as expected. However, after uploading the course again I couldn't seem to get the app to recognise it, and instead got an error screen that I'd never seen before (IQ with a yellow warning triangle and !), followed by another new watch Id. This went on for a few times, until I (presumably) did something different, after which it was back to normal. I could then upload different courses (using the same watch Id, just as I had done previously). I initially suspected a watch "crash" or the like, but then I noticed that MapRunG had been updated on 16th June; as it happens that was the last time I used the watch (not for MapRun), and it had not been sync'd with Garmin Express on the PC since before then, although it may well have synchronised to Garmin Connect on my phone. So I wonder whether the deletion issue is somehow related to the new release, but I'm still puzzled by the unhelpful error screen and by the problem in it recognising the uploaded course - although the latter might be "finger trouble" as I haven't done a "cold start" like that for ages. Has anyone else seen anything similar?
