Re: Croeso 2020
The reason to cancel Croeso 2020 has been taken at this time as entries were about to open. It was felt that the uncertainty about how long the current virus crisis will last meant that it was unreasonable to raise hopes that the event could take place only to take the same decision closer to the event.
I know the organiser has given the decision much thought including what the alternative options could be before deciding to cancel the event.
The new maps will not go to waste as ERYRI often stage a weekend of orienteering on most years and the planning for this can start as soon as the current restrictions are relaxed.
WOA is sorry for the disappointment caused to potential competitors and ask for their understanding that this decision was not taken lightly.

Yes but at least no one taking part has to be non-competitive!
No news on alternative uses of the areas mapped for Croeso 2020 yet but ERYRI are still possible hosts of the 2021 Junior Home International so some use of areas is likely to be in consideration and for once Newborough might have a bit of a rest.
