Hi, does anyone know if Romualdus is away on holiday?
I ordered a new pair of O shoes on 1st December (they were meant to be a xmas present) but have heard nothing since. I've tried e-mailing him but no response.

Re: Compass Point
I ordered some (and paid) back in November, nothing has arrived. I'm waiting for first major event and try to speak to him.

Re: Compass Point
Any more updates on CompassPoint? I have emailed Rom and had no response. Anybody expecting them at a major event soon? I have some Inov8 shoes under guarantee that need replaced. Inov8 referred me on to CompassPoint (as the original supplier).

Re: Compass Point
Prompted by this thread I emailed CompassPoint before attempting to buy something to ask if it was in stock, but also didn't get a reply.
I know Ultrasport is closing down (their website is displaying a privacy error). Is there any alternative?

Re: Compass Point
Just looked at the CompassPoint Facebook page, and there are more comments about orders not arriving, so looks like people should avoid CompassPoint until it's obvious they are still trading healthily?

I ordered a couple of control description holders from all4o.com recently and that went fine. They are based in Latvia so there's currency conversion to take into account, and who knows what customs **** to deal with after Brexit...
My last (new!) pair of shoes I got direct from inov8, also fine, but then I was ordering like for like replacements - anything unfamiliar I would have preferred to try first (but distance selling regulations are your friend).

If you have paid over £100 by credit card, you may be able to get redress from your card provider under the Consumer Credit Act. There's an explanation here:

Re: Compass Point
Unfortunately I paid for my shoes with a debit card. However I'm not panicking yet, I'm sure there's a good explanation why Rom has gone quiet.
Have any of the big event organisers been in touch with Rom regarding CompassPoint's (or O Nosh) presence at their event?

Checking a few club websites for upcoming events:
MV expect both CompassPoint and O-Nosh at Netley Heath on 16 Feb
TVOC expect CompassPoint at Hambleden on 22 (British Night Champs) and 23 Feb

Re: Compass Point
I've just been round to Rom's house and had a long chat with Rom and Eleonora. They have had a couple of problems (nothing to do with Onosh or Compass Point) but these are now in the past.
Rom is not the world's greatest communicator. We impressed upon him that he must contact his customers if there is going to be a delay in fulfilling their order. It often takes some time for equipment to come from manufacturers and he often doesn't know how long it will take. In the next couple of days he will be contacting customers who are waiting to receive stuff.
Onosh and Compass Point will be at the events that they have said they will attend, except that they have got themselves double booked on Feb 16th.

Babs, thanks for going to the source - saves (other) irate customers storming his place in the countryside.
I ordered some gaiters on 11 January, payment has been taken, but no communication whatsoever about delivery. No response to my telephone calls and emails. I understand if there are delays, but just need to be advised - a simple email will do.

His friends (HOC members) were not getting replies to phone messages, which is why I went round this morning - I only live about 4 miles away.
As I said above, in the next couple of days Rom will be contacting customers who are waiting for deliveries. Eleonora and I will be keeping an eye on this.

Looks like Rom is back! I had an email from him today so hopefully they will be back on the road again soon.
