According to the UK civil aviation authority you can fly with quite large batteries but you would have to work out the Watt hour rating.

I have certainly flown with 2 bike light batteries each inside a plastic zip bag with the Wh calculation marked on the outside in pen. They were 6.8Amp h and 14.8 v. They have to go in your hand luggage and the terminals isolated to prevent short circuits.
